The HideAway at Camp Korey - the best kept secret in exclusive wedding venues

The HideAway at Camp Korey is located at the historic Carnation Farms which is an 817 acre historic estate property with sweeping views of the Cascade Mountain region.  Just a quick 45 minute drive from Seattle, but so far from the bustle of the city, you'll think you've arrived at Eden.  The site has only been hosting weddings since 2005, but has rapidly gained the notoriety of the industry. 2010 was their second show with Urban Unveiled and we love having the best-kept-secret-in-town as part of the Talent! For more images of The HideAway in action, check out the True Colors Events blog post on Catherine + Ronny, who are also featured on the HideAway's web site.

The HideAway is an exclusive wedding venue, hosting limited numbers of events each season, and only one wedding per weekend, offering couples the luxury of privacy and space. Their wedding package includes a beautiful garden for ceremonies and the “Hippodrome” pavilion for receptions. They work exclusively with wedding consultants who understand what the venue has to offer and how to determine if it’s a good fit for their couples.

Conscientious brides and grooms are drawn to The HideAway for a few specific reasons: they enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful Pacific Northwest, they want unparalleled privacy, and they have a philanthropic spirit. The HideAway benefits Camp Korey, also located at Carnation Farm, which provides camp experiences to children and their families living with serious illness at no cost to them. Revenue generated from hosting a wedding at The HideAway goes directly to underwrite the cost of camp.

Maddy Miller, Camp Administrator and Wedding Coordinator extraordinaire, shared her favorite part of the wedding experience saying, "My favorite part is meeting with couples and working in tandem with an amazing community of wedding professionals. Then on their day making dreams come true." When asked to pinpoint a "wow" moment, Maddy continued, "The whole process is a wow for me. I love saying yes to our couples. Because we are privately owned and operated, we are able to really give people what they imagine in their dreams. By the wedding day we are pretty good friends. I LOVE smores around the fire pit and saying goodnight and watching the couple walk down the path to their life together."

For those interested in The HideAway or Camp Korey, they plan to host a general OPEN HOUSE on Sunday June 5, 2011. Check the web site for details.
